Yes, it's a good opportunity for the dwellers of Benuk, Annah Rais and other tourists-frequent Bidayuh longhouses/villages selling arts, crafts, foods, etc. in front of their houses esp. during the weekend....they might get some income. Like in Mulu, tour operators bring tourists to a Penans/Berawans village and many buy the crafts on sale there......i bought some too. If the gov. build a centre for Bidayuh villagers to sell such products, that's even better. Padawan/Borneo Heights road is a touristic area and there are many tourism activities can be implemented there. Other Bidayuh areas in Serian and Bau also have similar potentials. But must only sell Bidayuh products so as not to 'contaminate' our heritage. Those in Bazzar street are mostly mixtures of Sarawak, Indonesia, Peninsular Msia and from other countries.

i've read sumwhere in d net dat most of d product being sell infront of d water front shop 90% made by outsider, meaning 2 say not from the sarawak native o ethnic group.. y don we suggest dat d product should have an aproval (kedak cop sirim) 2 show dat its origin from d ethnic group of sarawak which is being d standard from STB.. wif dis kind of idea atleast our ethnic group could generate income from d product dey made specially for those who stay in suburban area.. wat is dis STB ppl doing wif our tourism industry in sarawak.. tdo kahh.. wake up la..
